The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has been denying they exist in Connecticut, but this past summer a rogue mountain lion was spotted in Greenwich. A few days later, it was killed on the Merrit Parkway in Milford. A group called Cougars of the Valley is dedicated to proving there’s a mountain lion population in the state. We follow the path of this doomed cougar…and trek through the Farmington Valley with Bo Ottman in search of the elusive creature.

  1. Add me to the list of people who have seen one. We have over 500 acres behind our house. One morning about two weeks ago, I saw the biggest cat I've ever seen sitting on our rock wall. I stayed there until I got within 20 ft., then moved off to the nearest tree, dug a hole, and squatted in it, then turned around and covered the hole with it's hind paws.and walked off into the woods. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone with me.
