so sad yeah an auntie more we're just back from our beautiful trip to Cuba the largest of the Caribbean islands we have been traveling for 20 days exploring one of the most exciting places in the world this is the greatest started off trip to Cuba in this incredible culture if you can get inspired and jump on the next plane so are you ready let's start from the beginning after a 12-hour bumpy flight from UK we finally landed in Havana where we spent eight days then we took a local pass to bananas and explored for three days they stand in nature tobacco fields and wild beaches around we decided to go south so we traveled for seven hours between adult and we instantly fell in love with the city one hour right from Trinidad and we arrived to the French colonial city of cienfuegos which we quickly visited before coming back to the north and spending the last four nights in that paradise called baladeiro curious to know why you should not miss in Cuba vamos a facade amigos one thing you should know about Havana is there is a crazy noisy colorful city so take a look into the column four streets of Havana Center and halt ivana and start getting used to the rhythm of this incredible capital do not miss a visit to Marcel de la revolucion the former presidential palace where you can find out more about the history of the island and the human Revolutionary War the Salon de los one of the top five squares in Havana and visit the visual art gallery housed in one of the colonial buildings surrounding the square from the museum you can enjoy the most beautiful view of the plaza or just discover contemporary art masterpieces from local and international artists take the terrific bus and stop in plaza de la revolucion for a selfie with the chain just in front of the memorial Jose Marti on the ministry of interior building shines the legendary 30 metres portrait of Che Guevara together with the slogan hasta la victoria siempre human boxers are world well known and there's After a 12 hours bumpy flight from UK we finally landed in Havana where we spent 8 days, then we took a local bus to Viñales and explored for 3 days the stunning nature, tobacco fields and wild beaches around. We decided to go south, so we traveled for 7 hours to Trinidad and we instantly fell in love with the City. One hour ride from Trinidad and we arrived to the French colonial city of Cienfuegos, which we quickly visited before coming back to the north and spending the last 4 nights in that paradise called Varadero.

welcome back to better Arizona everyone I'm Sarah karlstrom we're all looking for fun things we can do this summer with your family or without that don't cost a lot of money how about the trip to Nevada that's right we're talking about Nevada we've got Larry Friedman the Nevada Commission on tourism here he's joining us once again nice to see you Larry it's great to be here again Sarah hey you know what we're talking about fun things you can do with or without the family so many things in Nevada outside of Las Vegas that you can do unique things that many of us have never even heard about well no a we have one of the best-kept secrets in terms of national parks we have the Great Basin National Park it's one of the lesser-known parks it sits on the Utah border but it has the most phenomenal caves that you and your family can take a tour inside I mean they're incredible but also it's where the oldest living thing on the planet the Bristlecone pine tree can be found really yeah so I would definitely recommend the Great Basin action of a learning experience too if you can survive the car trip with your kids they would love it once they get once they get there and the other thing is that we also have another place called the Berlin ichthyosaurus State Park which i think is fascinating the blend part is that it is a ghost town old you know real live ghost town and then right up the dirt road is where the ichthyosaur fossil was found so I mean you can see the Old West history but then it real prehistoric history as well in the same part of the center part in the center part of the state and to make the drive a little more interesting for the kids like you said near there there's a place called sand mountain and it's this huge mountain who knows why it's there I'm sure some scientist does I don't but it's a huge mountain of greater Minds than then I you know why it's there but the bottom line it exists it exists and it's fun and you can either sand board or a TV or just play on this gigantic nothing we've got sand dunes and you know you're saying this just puts additional of the sand dunes but we have a sand mountain but you are very lucky because you are the Grand Canyon State and as far as a national treasure sure you can't beat the Grand Canyon I want to talk about the loneliest Road in America what is it okay uh 25 years ago Life magazine quoted somebody from Triple is saying that the road across highway 50 Nevada was the loneliest Road in America and you would have to have a survival kit to drive it so we invented a survival kit and if you get it stamped in all the six towns along the route send us your passport with the stamps and we will send you a gift a souvenir of your trip there's a wonderful little town called eureka with an opera house a wonderful town called austin you don't I wanna hear about though okay he's a extraterrestrial highway what is that okay there's a town called rachel and from this place it's one of the places where the most ufos have ever been spotted that's a family thing because you would have fun doing that and that's an inexpensive way you know to kind of do something well and you have to have lunch at the little ailey in or stay the night at the little alien get it ailee in okay anyway was designated the extra-terrestrial highway back to the 90s now the fact that it's also located near area 51 is only coincidental but this is where you can start stare at the stars at night see them and and hope that you see a UFO and really quickly I know this isn't for the summertime but celebrate New Years twice how do we do that with no okay what you do is you go to you go to laugh when you walk across the bridge over to the Arizona side at that time of year we have an hour difference between us correct yes so you start on the Arizona side of the bridge you party at midnight take your time walking across for an hour over to Laughlin and have another New Year's Eve celebration celebrate yeps tailgate Nevada lies there we go that's the way to do with Larry thank you again so much to see and do Nevada this summer check it out go to their website travel Nevada com get some ideas on ways that you and your family can have some fun without paying an arm and a leg for it nice to see you Larry thanks Sarah all right better Arizona doing back you
